Richard Matheson Interview

by J.J.Foxe on June 27, 2013

The great horror and fantasy writer Richard Matheson died two days ago. Matheson was right up there with Bradbury IMO – he wrote The Incredible Shrinking Man, I Am Legend, Hell House, What Dreams May Come, Duel (Spielberg’s first film), and scuds of short stories and episodes of shows like The Twilight Zone.

Here’s an interview with him that’s worth watching:

If you like short stories Matheson is someone you should read, there are three volumes of stories that you can buy on Amazon. (Wiater is the editor of those.)  There’s also an anthology of stories called HE IS LEGEND inspired by Matheson (the author list reads like a who’s who of horror and fantasy authors)  This includes the story THROTTLE written by Stephen King and his son Joe Hill which is a homage to Duel – great story too.

RIP.
